'Planned Giving and Endowments'
How to Start a Planned Giving Program
Presented by Patrick Emanual, Partners in Recognition &
Laurie Taylor, CFRE, Lower Cape Fear Hospice
Many will tell you that best time to start a Planned Giving program is twenty years ago.
If you didn't then TODAY is the next best time.
According to the 2015 Giving USA report, giving by bequests increased 13.6% in 2014 and at a much higher rate than donations from living donors (which rose by only 4%). For nonprofits new to planned giving, Planned Giving can seem overwhelming, especially the different type of vechicles, CRUTS, CRATS, Pooled Incomes, etc.
More than half of wealthy people surveyed in 2014 said they plan to give a big share of their wealth to charity when they die. Join us for this session that will provide simple, easy steps you can take in establishing a planned giving program.
2017 Scholarship Program
Deadline January 31, 2017
The goal of the scholarship program is to help AFP Cape Fear Chapter build a professional fundraising community that best represents the communities we serve. The selection process is competitive with more qualified applicants than scholarships available.
Two - One year scholarships will be awarded. Active Member and New Member.
Both are underwritten by Hartsook Companies
