Major Donors

August Chapter Program

Wednesday, August 9:
Major Gifts - Tell Us Why You Give?
And Why You Keep Giving?

Facilitated by Mimi Cunningham
Your board would like you to meet with the 20 largest donors to your organization as one of your goals this year. What is your plan? Do you know why each of them give to your organization? Do you know if they even want to be contacted by the organization? How will you engage them so that they will continue to give at the current level – or give more?

Meet past awardees of the Cape Fear Region AFP's Philanthropist of the Year Award to hear why they give and why they stay engaged with their favorite charities. And, if we are lucky, they will tell us a little about what has turned them off from giving to other organizations that have not put into practice the best donor engagement techniques.
